The Aspen Equestrian team is comprised of Middle School and High School competitive horseback riders, ages 9-18. The Aspen Equestrian Team is a member of the Interscholatic Equestrian Association (IEA). Started as a team in 2013, the Aspen Equestrian team travels mainly to Denver to compete, but has traveled to Arizona, Virginia, Georgia and Pennsylvania for Zone and National Events. The Aspen Equestrian Team is a non-profit organization that benefits from the relationship with Aspen Riding Academy and their horses. Aspen Riding Academy’s horses are used in team practices, and horse shows in Denver and the surrounding areas. Aspen Riding Academy’s horses have been “Horse of the Show” and are frequently a favorite draw at the IEA shows.
